Naveen Reddy (Invited)

R&D Team lead (Surface and Interface Processing group), imec

Naveen Reddy is a chemical engineer with a background in soft matter, rheology, and nanotechnology. He holds a PhD from KU Leuven, where he studied rheology and scattering of non-spherical nanoparticles. Naveen is currently a R&D team leader at imec in Leuven, Belgium, supporting surface and interface processing group for 3D packaging and Nano interconnect programs.

Previously, he worked at SMATEC, Belgium as a product development and research associate, overseeing surface improvements and process optimization for nickel-titanium shape memory alloys. During this time, he developed environmentally friendly polymer-based lubricants and managed client relations, technical problem-solving, and optimized production process.

Naveen has also served as an assistant professor at the University of Hasselt, where his research focused on soft matter and nanofiber formation mechanisms from polymer and nanoparticle suspensions, with applications in transparent conductive electrodes and medical textiles. Earlier roles include senior research scientist at Janssen R&D, Johnson & Johnson, Belgium.
