Mike Young-Han Kim

Mike Young-Han Kim is the Founding CEO of Gauss Labs Inc., an industrial AI startup started in 2020, and was a professor at the University of California, San Diego. He is a leading expert in data science and information theory and an 11th-generation academic descendant of Carl Friedrich Gauss. He has written 2 books, over 120 papers, and several patents on data science, machine learning, signal and image processing, data compression, information theory, wireless communications, networking, computational biology, information security, and circuit design. He received his BS degree in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University, his MS degree in Electrical Engineering and Statistics, and his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, all from Stanford University.
