Kannan Perumal

Kannan Perumal is the Chief Information Security Officer at Applied Materials. In this role, he is responsible for the overall strategy and implementation of Applied’s cyber security controls to help protect Applied’s IP, that of our customers and third-parties, as well as employees’ personal information. A 30-year IT professional, Kannan is recognized as an expert in information security and risk management and has extensive experience helping Applied and other companies build digital defenses. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics & Communication from Madurai Kamaraj University, India.
