Charlie Cha

Charlie Cha has been global product management position at BISTel since 2015 with responsibility for guiding the success of a IoT/Edge Computing based product and leading the cross-functional team and setting the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for a product, marketing, forecasting, and profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities.

Prior to joining BISTel company, Charlie Cha has been global product/project management positions and software engineer positions at few reputable software and IT companies such as Samsung, InnoPath(Qualcomm), ScribbleLive, etc. for more than 20 years (or since 1996) with the following responsibilities;

• 10+ year experience as a product/project manager of IoT/Edge computing converging solution to define customer requirements and needs and to write MRD(Market Research Document) & PRD(Product Requirement Document) and to work with Engineering/Marketing/Sales/Service/Technical Support team to finalize the technical detail of the roadmap items and to lead product development cycle to launch in time and also support sales/new biz dev/marketing team to develop new growth market for IoT based Edge Computing technology and solution for manufacturing industry, especially in APAC area, Samsung/Hynix/Hana Micron/etc in Korea and ASE/HTC/GlobalFountry/Foxconn/etc in Taiwan and Lam/ASML/SanDisk/KT/Nanometric in USA.
• 14+ year experience as a software engineer such as various applications, online real-time blog system, load balancer (L4 Switch) application, telecommunication Device Management application (FOTA), many applications.

Charlie Cha received a bachelor’s degree in engineering field from Hanyang university in South Korea. After five years of experience as factory automation engineer in Samsung semiconductor in Korea, Charlie Cha emigrated to Canada 25 years ago and had a lot of experience in software companies in Canada and the United States.
