Kyle Winter

Kyle M. Winter has been an engineer at GLOBALFOUNDRIES since 2015 and a member of the FIB Circuit Edit team since 2018. He enjoys the daily challenges that arise from performing surgery to correct or modify the behavior of errant semiconductor modules. In the field of FIB circuit edit, there are no routine requests. Every new module is its own adventure.  

Prior to the GLOBALFOUNDRIES acquisition of IBM’s semiconductor business in 2015, Kyle worked for IBM. His prior expertise spans over a decade of semiconductor process engineering. Kyle developed expertise as a process engineer working with plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition with applications related to shallow trench isolation. Kyle also worked in the 300mm photolithography engineering team with a focus on the latest deep ultra violet and immersion lithography platforms for technologies ranging from 180nm down to 14nm. 

Mr. Winter received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, with a concentration in microelectronics from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, United States of America.
