Seonwoo Lee

Dr. Seon-Woo (Sunny) Lee is a Global Head of Group Smart Manufacturing, leading all business sectors at Merck Group, including Healthcare, Life Science, and Electronics.

Dr. Lee received Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology, NJ, USA, and has received several awards from the semiconductor and electronics industry. In addition, she has published and presented numerous journal and conference papers, including Nano Letters, MRS (Materials Research Society), APS (American Physical Society), and so on. As an Experimental Physicist in Argonne National Laboratory, IL, USA, she gained experience in semiconductor devices and big data analytics, then joined Samsung Electronics as Process Architect at Semiconductor R&D Center. After that, she was the Sr. Data Scientist at SK Hynix, Korea. After leading the entire AI/ML business in Korea at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as Sr. AI/ML Business Development Manager, she joined Merck as a Global Head of Group Smart Manufacturing and is leading Digital Transformation for Merck Group.
