Ji Chul Yang

Dr. Ji Chul Yang is the General Manager at EBARA Precision Machinery Company. Since joining EBARA US in 2021, he is in charge of technical research and marketing. Prior to EBARA, Dr. Yang was a Research Fellow (Vice President) at SK Hynix Semiconductor in South Korea, where he was responsible for process innovation in the Cleaning & CMP of the Manufacturing Division. Before SK Hynix, Dr. Yang was the CMP team leader and representative of the logic-technology roadmap team at GLOBALFOUNDRIES U.S. He also played a key role in developing the 14nm and 7nm logic processes as a technical leader. Before joining GLOBALFOUNDRIES, Dr. Yang was the CMP Project Leader in SAMSUNG Memory Division. With over 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, Dr. Yang has worked in both device makers (memory (NAND and DRAM) and Logic Foundries) and equipment supplier. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Electronics Engineering from SUNGKYUNKWAN University. Dr. Yang has published more than 40 technical articles and has given 20 invited presentations at conferences on semiconductor topics.
