Pradeep Subrahmanyan

Pradeep Subrahmanyan, Ph.D. has been the head of the Inflection Solutions Group at Applied Materials since 2019 leading a group of technologists to model upcoming device inflections in logic and memory, propose innovative module solutions and develop process tool requirements to address the said innovations. One of the solutions developed in this group is directed towards addressing warpage and overlay control for the increasingly 3-dimensional high aspect ratio semiconductor devices.
Prior to joining Applied Materials, Dr. Subrahmanyan was the Director of Marketing for the 5D Solutions group at KLA-Tencor. During his 5 year tenure at KLA, Dr. Subrahmanyan initially worked on the next generation EUV patterned reticle system. Following this, he focused on metrology and process control solutions for overlay and CD metrology in the 5D solutions group.
Dr. Subrahmanyan received a Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, MA, USA and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, MN, USA. Prior to pursuing graduate studies in the US, Dr. Subrahmanyan did his early education in India graduating from the Indian Institute of Technology in Mumbai.
