Choonhwan Kim

Choonhwan Kim, Ph.D. is a senior vice president and a head of R&D process in R&D center, SK Hynix. Since 2023, he has been responsible for the R&D of next generation DRAM/NAND, as well as future memory technology roadmap. In particular, he has contributed to national industrial development by leading to improving a technology level of both domestic and foreign equipment companies together.

Prior to his current position, he was in charge of the Head of NAND Fab in manufacturing technology, improving profitability and maximizing productivity. He also has an experience to lead a ThinFilm technology group, where making final decisions on ThinFilm technology.

Choonhwan Kim received his Ph.D. degree in materials science and engineering from Seoul National University, South Korea.
