Anand Nambiar

Anand Nambiar is the Chief Commercial Officer for the Electronics business of Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany and for EMD Electronics in the U.S. and Canada. With nearly 25 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, Anand has held various influential roles throughout his career and has gained international exposure. He has lived in Asia, Europe, and is currently based in San Jose, US. 

Previously, Anand served as Associate Director - Quality at Nikon Inc. and Vice President of Operations at Cascade Microtech. He also held the position of Operations Director at AZ Electronic Materials and later became the Managing Director of the Optronics Division at AZ Electronic Materials until its acquisition by Merck. 

Anand possesses a broad perspective and has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills. He has successfully led Merck's Biopharma and Consumer Health business in India. In 2018, Anand assumed responsibility for the Semiconductor Materials business and played a pivotal role in its notable acquisition of Versum Materials. 

Anand's educational background includes an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Boston University and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley. 

As of September 2023, Anand was appointed as Merck Electronics' Chief Commercial Officer. With his wealth of experience and innovative mindset, Anand continues to drive growth and strategic initiatives at Electronics Business Sector of Merck, further cementing the company's position in the electronics industry.
