Jung-Woo Ha

Dr. Jung-Woo Ha works as the head of NAVER Cloud AI Innovation and Future AI Center of NAVER, who is responsible for long-term AI research and global AI ecosystem strategy. He got his BS and PhD in computer science from Seoul National University, and joined NAVER Labs as a staff research scientist in 2015. Since 2015, He worked as the leader of Clova AI Research and the head of NAVER AI Lab.

He has contributed to the growth of the AI ecosystem as a member of NAEK and a co-chair of AI future forum. Also, he works for public sectors as an advisory member of diverse government organizations including the AI-Data division director and the public frontier AI TF director of the Korea Presidential Committee of Digital Platform Government.

As a senior AI researcher, he has published more than 40 papers in top-tier AI conferences for the past 5 years. For the academic outreach, he served as an organizing committee member of NeurIPS 2022, ICML 2023 and NeurIPS 2023. Also, he serves as an adjunct associate professor of HKUST.
