Laurent Souriau

Laurent Souriau is Team leader of the memory etch team at imec focusing on the development of leading-edge etch processes and patterning approaches for classic (NAND) and emerging memory technologies (MRAM, FeRAM, RRAM, PCRAM...). He has extensive experience in process engineering for nanoelectronics which he acquired during his more than 15-years at imec. He has collaborated with all major state of the art etch equipment suppliers through Joint Development Programs to provide innovative solutions to the challenges brought by the introduction of new materials, new architectures, and associated scaling.

Laurent received his MS in Material Science from the University of Strasbourg, France, and his PhD in Physics from the University of Leuven, Belgium..
