Assistant professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, Clarkson University (invited)

Dr. Jihoon Seo is an assistant professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Clarkson University, USA. He has over 10 years of experience in Chemical Mechanical Planarization (CMP) and post-CMP cleaning. Dr. Seo received his Bachelor of Science degree in materials science and engineering from Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea in 2010, and his Ph.D. degree in energy engineering from HYU in 2017.

He was a research assistant professor of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Clarkson University from February 2018 to June 2021, where he was mentored by Prof. S.V. Babu. Dr. Seo has worked on many industry-sponsored research projects in various fields ranging from fundamental principles (e.g., surface chemistry, colloidal chemistry, nanotechnology, and electrochemistry) to practical applications (e.g., CMP and post-CMP cleaning). He is the topic editor of Applied Sciences, guest editor of Special Issue of Applied Sciences on “Recent Advances in CMP slurries and Post-CMP cleaning”, he also serves as a committee member of C.A.M.P CMP Symposium.
