Prof. HaeJune Lee

Professor, Pusan National University (Invited)

Hae June Lee has been a Professor since 2004 with the Department of Electrical Engineering, Pusan National University, Busan, South Korea. His research field includes plasma theory and simulation for low-temperature plasmas for materials processing and magnetized plasmas for nuclear fusion reactors. Prior to joining Pusan National University, he was a Research Scientist with the Center for Advanced Accelerators, Korea Electrotechnology Research Institute, South Korea from 2001 to 2004. From 2000 to 2001, He was a Post-Doctoral Researcher with the Plasma Theory and Simulation Group, University of California, Berkeley, CA, USA, working for Prof. C. K. Birdsall.

Lee received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in physics in 1996 and 1998 from Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH). He received his B.S. degree with honors from the Department of Nuclear Engineering at the Seoul National University (SNU), South Korea. Prof. Lee is one of the leading scientists in the research field of kinetic plasma modeling and simulation of non-equilibrium low-temperature plasma society.
