Chad Brick

Chad Brick, Ph.D., has led the company’s Film Deposition R&D group since 2019. With over 18 years of industry experience, he has expertise in semiconductor R&D, device manufacturing, equipment, and materials. Chad possesses extensive knowledge of precursor and polymer synthesis, formulation, atomic layer deposition, area-selective deposition, photolithography, and surface modification. Prior to joining Gelest, he held several roles, including Senior Chemist at Sumitomo Bakelite Corporation focused on photo-patternable dielectric formulations, and Senior Chemist at Dow Corning Corporation, focused on silicon-based polymers for photolithography and anti-reflective coatings. Chad received his doctorate from the University of Michigan in 2005 for studies related to silicon-based polymers for high temperature lubrication and flip-chip underfill, which were extended during a post-doctoral appointment at Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan.
