Rajesh R. Melkote

Raj Melkote is VP of Cryogenics Engineering for the Semiconductor Chamber Solutions division of Atlas Copco Vacuum Technique. In this role, he leads a global team of scientists and engineers, responsible for developing and sustaining turbopumps, cryopumps, compressors, and cryochillers for the semiconductor and general coatings markets. Prior to assuming his current role in 2020, Raj held numerous engineering leadership roles at General Electric, United Technologies, Honeywell, and most recently the cryogenics business of Brooks Automation which was acquired by Edwards Vacuum in 2019. He holds a B.S. degree from Purdue University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Minnesota, both in Chemical Engineering.
